Overnight Pet Care in Your Home Mt. Pleasant Pet Services now offers on a limited basis overnight pet care in your home. The overnight pet care includes your morning and evening pet care routines. Your pet sitter will, if needed, provide basic care between 5 and 7 p.m. and then will check in by 9 p.m. and stay overnight and perform your pets normal evening and morning routines. Keep in mind that your pet sitter may have other pet sitting rounds to make but will be at your house by 9 p.m. and stay until 7 or 8 a.m. the following morning. We also have pets of our own that we will need to care for so we will need to care for them and then return to your home and spend the night with your pets.

Your pet sitter will ensure that your pet is the center of attention and has plenty of playtime. This includes feeding, walking, any necessary clean ups and providing medication on schedule if needed.

The charge for an overnight stay is $45.00 per night. As always there is no extra charge for additional pets. A midday visit may be combined with an overnight stay for an extra fee.

Guidelines for overnight stays:
  • No one may enter the house other than the assigned pet sitter. The pet sitter will not allow anyone to enter the house without prior written permission from the home owner. This includes relatives, children, friends, etc. During the initial interview the homeowner will inform the pet sitter in writing if anyone else is allowed access to the home.
  • The Pet Sitter will not answer the client’s telephone. The pet sitter will leave a cell phone number with the client if the client needs to contact her.
  • The Pet Sitter will provide her own food and drinks but may request access to the homeowners appliances such as microwave or refrigerator. The Pet Sitter will not consume alcoholic beverages during the visits.
WHISKERIA LANE CAT BOARDING FACILITY Mt. Pleasant Pet Services has a small cat boarding facility. Cats must be current on their vaccines and have a negative leukemia test. The fee for boarding is $7.00 per day. Additional cats are $5.00 each per day. “Special needs” kitties are $10.00 per day. These are cats that may need medications or extra care during their stay. Your cats will enjoy their stay in our condos with a view to the outdoors where plenty of squirrels and birds at the feeders will entertain them. Please book early as there are only a small number of condos available. Payment for boarding is required in advance. We encourage you to bring a favorite toy, towel, t-shirt or whatever may make your cat feel more at home.
LOST PET CONNECTION For a one time fee of $15.00 Mt. Pleasant Pet Services can act as a back up service should your pet escape while you are at work or perhaps become lost while you are vacationing. The tag your dog may be wearing might have a phone number that is not being monitored or if it is your cell phone number you may be out of your service area. We will supply you with a dog tag with our phone number on it and our number will be available 24 hours a day for someone to contact us if they find your dog.
Midday Dog Walking Service You may normally go home on your lunch break to let the dog out but there may come a time when you would like to run some errands or meet a friend for lunch. Mt. Pleasant Pet Services can care for your dog – let him out, take him for a walk, feed him or give medications – anything you might normally do. Rates start at $12 for a half hour visit/walk.
