Maggie was left with me by a young girl in Chicago. She was in tears. She
explained that Maggie had been abused by her boyfriend and his dog. So...she is
an abused kitty. I tried everything to bring her around and she attacked
me when she first came to live with me. She especially does not like men. My
boyfriend was a gentle man and tried very hard to get her to trust him. She came
around to him and I believe she will forgive over time.
I brought her here and she was promptly confronted with a mouse in the house
that terrified her. She was shot by a skunk through the screen door in the
dining room. Then, was attacked by lord knows what, probably a raccoon that
almost killed her. I had to do painful things to her to bring her through, like
aspirating her wounds and giving her shots. She hid under the bed and I would
have to get her out to give her the meds and bathe her. I feared that by having
to leave her she would become feral. I really didn't know what to expect
tonight.
I knew when you came in the first time and she came out that you had a gift. Now
I know this is true. She is a different kitty now and I believe I have much to
thank you for. She has not left me since I walked in. I don't know what you did,
but it was good. Bless you for taking the time. I don't know anyone here, but
you definitely are an awesome person. Thank you so much.

animals, for several years now. Though it's taken a while, I am so happy that I

Several times I have hired Barb Kirchner to provide care for my four dogs while
I was gone on trips. Barb came to my house two times a day and fed, played and
walked my dogs. Without being asked, Barb took my puppies soiled bed home and
washed it and return it for them and brought hay for my outside puppies when the
weather had turned bad. One day, when I opened my mail, I was very delighted to
see cute pictures of my puppies that Barb had taken of them playing. I live out
of town and on a road that is not very nice during the winter months, but Barb
has always been there to take care of my dogs needs and I do not worry about
them when I am away. I know they are in good hands. I feel Barb Kirchner went
above and beyond what I paid her for and I will continue to use her services in
the future. Thank you caring for my dogs.
If Mt. Pleasant Pet Services has a song we would be singing it! We have found a
wonderful service and we would never go back to out of home boarding! Our family
is truly satisfied with the level of care Mt. Pleasant Pet Services provides.
Our Great Dane is not only our pet, he is a part of our family. Ms. Kirchner
provides our family peace of mind while we are away. We are confident leaving
one of our family members in the care of Ms. Kirchner. Last year we boarded Zeus
and it was a horrible experience for both zeus and us. Zeus lost several pounds
and was so unhappy when we returned from a vacation. At that point our family
decided to never board him again. We were blessed to find Mt. Pleasant Pet
Services this fall! The in home one on one care is awesome! Ms. Kirchner not
only cares for your pet, she provides nice extras such as watering plants,
lights on and off (for a at home look to your home), she collects the mail,
however, she never paid our bills (we will work on that one!! HA HA)! Ms.
Kirchner actually keeps a journal daily of pet visits, giving us the 411 when
returning home. The journal is a great touch, showing the level of commitment
Ms. Kirchner has for her job. We are extremely pleased to know Zeus can still
play while the rest of the family is on vacation playing! Ms. Kirchner plays tug
owar with our huge 160 pound baby! Thank you Barb for allowing our family the
peace of mind to relax on vacation! As you can tell, YES, we highly recommend
MT. PLEASANT PET SERVICES!

Barb is amazing! We have two large, very rough, playful dogs and were initially
worried about leaving them in the care of someone we found on the web. But after
meeting Barb and seeing how wonderful she was with them and what a terrific
person she is we only wished we had found her sooner. After leaving them in her
care we came home to two relaxed and happy dogs. She left us detailed notes on
their care while we were gone and even went out of her way to let them out more
than we had asked or paid for. We highly recommend Mt. Pleasant Pet Services.

Barb took great care of my two cats and dog, I was very pleased to have her take
care of my pets while I was on vacation this year. I was very impressed by how
thorough she is! Right down to her pre-visit, through me arriving home to clean
litter boxes, my mail sitting on my table ready for me to read, as well as a
letter detailing everything that she did for my pets, how they behaved - even
some recommendations for my Schauzer's itching problem he was having due to dry
skin! You cant beat that! She really cares. Highly recommended to all pet owners

I just wanted to send you a personal note to thank you for all of the special
care and attention you gave me while my mom and dad were on vacation. They
seemed to worry about this decision a lot before they found you. You took very
good care of me. You made sure I was let out multiple times every day, that I
had fresh papers, water and food. You also made sure that I took my bendryl when
I needed it, cleaned my eyes and gave them ointment. When I dont get this
special carewellIm just a mess. I loved my daily attention and one-on-one that
you gave me. Sometimes my mom and dad dont even have time to give me that much
attention at once! I felt very safe and well taken care of and my parents seemed
very happy when they returned that I (and the house) were in such great shape. I
hope my parents go away again soon so you can visit. You can see how content and
happy I am.

I had known Barb on a semi-professional level for several years before she
started this business so I knew she was reliable, trustworthy and honest. I also
knew that she genuinely cared for animals, so I had no reservations about asking
her to watch our 2 house cats and 1 foster dog. My foster dog at the time was a
young male Labrador Retriever, so he had lots of energy and I did worry a little
about asking someone to watch him because he could be a handful. I warned Barb
about this but she didn't waver about taking care of him. It was nice to go away
and not have to worry that our pets, who are treated like members of our family,
would be well taken care of. Barb took our foster dog for walks around the yard,
twice a day, per my request. And she even reported that he was a great dog while
in her care! When we came home we found her note summarizing her
activities/tasks and how things went with the pets. This was great because we
knew exactly what had been done, assured us that every pet had been given her
time & attention and left no question about what happened while we were gone. I
have recommended her services to friends and will continue to do so.

I'm here to sing the praises of Mt. Pleasant Pet Services. We recently went on
vacation and hired Mt. Pleasant Pet Services to watch our shih tzu. We had never
had a service come into our home before and were concerned about finding someone
who was reliable and trustworthy as well as someone who would be as concerned
about our pet as we are. The company arranged a convenient time to meet with us
and the owner actually came herself. Barb was extremely professional and
thorough. She met Griffy, we went over every detail which she documented. Upon
our return, we were amazed to find detail of Griff's care while we were gone. We
received pictures of what he was doing on different occasions, a detailed check
list of what was completed during each daily visit, and then a summary from Barb
of the overall week. We were so happy with the service we were provided and the
care given. We feel very secure leaving our home and pets in Barb's care. We
paid an extremely reasonable, affordable fee for such an invaluable service. I
